Job Description
The Advanced Robot Manipulators Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology led by Prof. Long Wang is seeking a Part-Time Robotics and Mechatronics Engineer Intern to support sponsored research in advanced robotic manipulation systems.
This position contributes to an ongoing DHA-funded research project focused on dexterous robotic hands tactile sensing and human-robot interaction. The intern will work closely with graduate students faculty and external industry partners in a collaborative research environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of robotic hand and manipulation hardware
Support fabrication machining and rapid prototyping of mechanical components
Integrate tactile sensors and embedded systems into robotic platforms
Conduct laboratory experiments and assist with data collection and analysis
Participate in system testing debugging and performance evaluation
Document experimental procedures results and technical findings
Collaborate with research team members on ongoing project development

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act the hourly base range for this position is $25-$25 hourly. This range represents the Universitys good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates experience education skills internal equity market data and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget qualifications and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation such as incentives stipends or other applicable pay components.
