M-F, No Nights & No Weekends, Onsite, Full Time

Responsibilities Include:

Our Production team at Foundance (owned by Life’s Abundance) manufactures a wide range of health and wellness products for both people and pets, including skincare, supplements, and pet care formulations. As a Production Assistant, you will spend approximately 90% of your time on hands-on manufacturing, with the remaining time supporting inventory management, product development, and general facility upkeep.

Manufacturing (90%)
• Review production reports and ingredient lists to prepare for manufacturing tasks.
• Mix and create product formulations according to established recipes across multiple product categories (supplements, pet care items, and more).
• Perform hands-on production, including weighing and measuring ingredients according to formulas.
• Operate equipment including piston filler and cap tightener; handle bottling, capping, and labeling of products.
• Prepare production area, gather necessary materials, and clean equipment and production areas between batches.
• Box and package finished products for shipping to warehouses; assist with transfer to storage areas.
• Assist with heavy lifting during production (45–50 pounds) and other physically demanding tasks as needed.

Inventory Management (5%)
• Track raw materials used in production by deducting ingredients from inventory spreadsheets after each batch.
• Participate in monthly counts of raw materials and finished goods inventory.
• Help organize storage areas for raw materials and packaging; prepare materials for upcoming production runs.
• Assist with basic bookkeeping related to production.
• Check in shipments as needed and verify contents against orders.

Additional Responsibilities (5%)
• Support product development efforts by assisting with test batches, evaluating samples, and documenting results.
• Process product returns and assist with sustainability audit documentation.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the production facility.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support production operations, including administrative support when needed.

The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and motivated by producing high-quality products that support the health and wellness of people and pets.

This role involves daily hands-on manufacturing work, including mixing, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging, as well as coordination with other team members to keep production running smoothly. Attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to following safety and quality protocols are essential.

What Will Make You Successful:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions
and safety protocols
• Experience operating semi-automated filling equipment, or the ability and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping
• A positive, collaborative attitude and a strong sense of teamwork
• Physical stamina for manufacturing work, including the ability to lift 45–50 pounds frequently and remain on your feet for multiple hours at a time
• Manual dexterity for handling product components, visual acuity for quality inspection, and color vision and sense of smell for ingredient and product evaluation
• A learner’s mindset and the ability to adapt as product lines, formulations, and processes evolve
• Reliability, dependability, and strong time-management skills
• Travel is not an essential part of this role, though occasional travel opportunities for training or company events may be available.
• Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on-site at our Bristol, CT facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or similar hands-on work preferred.
