POSITION SUMMARY: Environmental Solutions Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team at our headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Financial Analyst will support the FP&A organization through financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and business partnering activities. This role helps ensure accurate financial results, identifies key performance drivers, and translates data into actionable insights for business leaders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: - Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts, quarterly outlooks, and the annual operating plan (AOP).
- Maintain financial models and templates used for forecasting and planning processes.
- Support the consolidation of business unit financial submissions and validation of underlying assumptions
- Perform variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year; identify key drivers and trends.
- Prepare clear and concise commentary to explain results and support business decision-making.
- Create and deliver reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support financial understanding.
- Provide routine financial support and respond to ad‑hoc requests from business partners.
- Support monthly management reporting, including KPI updates.
- Recommend and assist in implementing enhancements to financial reporting tools and processes.
- Leverage Excel, BI tools, OneStream and financial systems to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Conduct analytical deep dives to support business cases, productivity initiatives, and performance improvement opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and analysis for leadership reviews and strategic discussions.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 1–3 years of finance, FP&A, or accounting experience; strong internship experience considered.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to BI or planning tools preferred.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Curious, self‑motivated, and eager to learn and improve processes.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and financial concepts.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and collaborate with partners across the business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High integrity and commitment to delivering accurate results.
- Problem-solving mindset with interest in process improvement.
