Job Description

Case Manager Northwestern State University seeks qualified applicants for the position of Case Manager. This is a 40‑hour per week (full‑time) position. Confidentiality is a priority. The Case Manager will assist in all areas of the Title IX Office, including receiving reports, scheduling meetings, conducting intake interviews, conducting jurisdiction analysis, taking notes and transcribing interviews with detail and accuracy, sending and receiving correspondence, processing case information in accordance with federal regulations, keeping up‑to‑date digital and paper files, acting as a TIX Advisor, Investigator, or Hearing Panel Member on occasion (after training), presenting educational information to students, parents, and/or employees. The Case Manager may also assist with a University Studies 1000 class and work with Campus Living Villages, Northwestern State University Police Department, Natchitoches Police Department, and other offices as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Title IX Compliance/Title IX Coordinator. The Case Manager reports directly to the Director of Title IX Compliance/Title IX Coordinator. Responsibilities Shall hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Work experience in Case Management, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Non‑Profit Resources, or related areas may be considered in lieu of a degree Experience in Case Management is preferred Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential Ability to speak and present in a group setting Proficiency in electronic case management systems such as Maxient is preferred, as well as proficiency in NSU Connect, and Banner. Training will be provided Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Shall have the ability to work in a fast paced and complex organization, with a diverse population, problem solve, and pivot as needed Shall demonstrate strong programming skills Strong organizational skills Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, without constant supervision Ability to learn TIX regulations, and the university's policy and procedures Exhibit the ability to comprehend information and act accordingly The ability to perform interviews, take meeting/interview notes and recordings, and transcribe them in detail and accurately is a requirement Diligence in detail is required Maintain confidentiality/privacy Willingness to work during an occasional evening and/or weekend event Training and Additional Duties Complete ATIXA and other Title IX Trainings Maintain strict confidentiality and/or privacy of Title IX information Follow Federal Regulations assigned to Title IX Complete Maxient electronic database training Create case files in Maxient Upload case information into Maxient in a timely manner Send and receive correspondence regarding Title IX cases per Federal Regulations Place No‑Contact Directives Provide Support Services Communicate with Northwestern State University Police Department, Natchitoches Police Department, NSU Counselors, and outside support offices Present educational/training materials to students, parents, and/or employees May assist in teaching a class Secure professional presenters May occasionally investigate cases as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator May occasionally sit in as a Hearing Panel Member as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator May occasionally act as an Advisor for Title IX Student Cases as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator Act with Title IX authority in the absence of the Title IX Coordinator as needed Train on and utilize Banner Financial System Train on and utilize NSU Connect Work evenings occasionally when programming is scheduled Other duties as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator To Apply Please submit a letter of application, resume, transcript(s), and complete contact information for three professional references to apply@nsula.edu.
